Some of the world’s biggest eaters were in Midlothian Friday night for
Bartolini’s American Meatball Eating Championship, and they didn’t
disappoint. A Canadian, Pete Czerwinski, gobbled up 43 meatballs during his
seven minutes of competition at St. Christopher Church's annual summer Fiesta to win $3,000.

Beads of sweat poured off Leonard Butler's freshly shaved head as he wrapped his arms around his wife, Shirley, after he spent a year in the Middle East. The 51-year-old Richton Park man has been in the Army for 19 years, so his wife was accustomed to him being away for periods of time. But this time it was for a year, twice as long as any previous stretch.

Listless Cubs do little vs. Astros

Park tests hybrid buses in McKinley's shadow
